Kaden Figgins was born and raised in Panguitch, Utah where he grew up hunting, fishing, camping and recreating in Garfield County. He met his wife, Cianna, in high school and they both graduated with bachelor’s degrees from DSU in 2017. Kaden graduated with Summa Cum Laude Honors and was also nominated for finance student of the year in 2017. Now settled in to his professional career, Kaden makes critical decisions regarding land use and economic development in Garfield County. As Director, Kaden assists businesses in obtaining funding for expansion or relocation; drafts and adopts local rules and regulations; writes grants to purchase equipment, develop new infrastructure, and improve recreation opportunities; and approves and recommends land use activities such as subdivisions, zone changes, conditional use permits, building permits and business licenses.
